I was going to get some embriodery yarn in a box I never open really, and on the bottom of the box was a thimble I saved for sewing there, and guess what!! It's a Simon's thimble! I would never have known that if it wasn't for this group! I recognise the makers mark inside, shaped like a thimble with the S and marked sterling silver around. The rim has beautiful flowers around, they look like pansies to me. I'm still shaking my head, laughing haha.. how fun! ...
